Mental Health Awareness Campaign

The Mental Health Awareness Campaign (MHAC), launched on October 10, World Mental Health Day, is a flagship initiative by the Jeevan Darshan Foundation (JDF). In collaboration with the Center for Mental Health & Wellness (CMHW), this campaign seeks to address the growing mental health challenges worldwide, especially the rising rates of depression, anxiety, and suicide.

Why JDF Stated this Campaign

Mental health impacts individuals, families, and communities.

  • Global Crisis: Over 970 million people suffer from mental disorders like anxiety and depression (WHO).
  • Suicide Epidemic: Suicide is the second leading cause of death among youth aged 15-29.
  • Neglected Area: Nearly 75% of people in low-income countries with mental disorders receive no treatment.
  • Economic Burden: Poor mental health costs the global economy over $1 trillion annually in lost productivity (World Bank).
