The JDF Farmer Training Program focuses on sustainable agriculture with the main objective of Climate Smart Agriculture (CSA). This program aims to empower farmers, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), and Self-Help Groups (SHGs) by equipping them with skills and knowledge in natural farming techniques that are chemical-free and eco-friendly.
The program was officially launched on December 23, 2024 (National Farmers’ Day) by the Center for Agriculture & Rural Development (CARD) under JDF, in association with the School of Sustainability (SOS). It was inaugurated by JDF Founder Bikram Jha and CARD Central Director Aman Raj.
The program aims to revolutionize agriculture by promoting eco-friendly and climate-resilient farming practices. This approach not only ensures environmental sustainability but also improves farmer livelihoods and public health.
The pilot program will run for 3 years, after which a detailed review will be conducted. Based on the results and recommendations, the program will be scaled to a macro level by JDF to benefit more communities.
This long-term program requires substantial resources, collaboration, and commitment. We invite all stakeholders to join us in transforming agriculture for a sustainable future.
