The School of Environment and Sustainability under JDF is committed to promoting responsible consumption, zero waste, net-zero principles, and sustainable lifestyles.
This school serves as the research arm of JDF, offering valuable suggestions and recommendations to support our initiatives in environmental protection and sustainability.
Key Highlights:
- Education & Research: Dedicated to Environmental education and impactful research in sustainability and environmental conservation.
- Current Operations: While the school currently operates out of JDF's Regional Office in Darbhanga, Bihar, it actively works towards a greener future.
- Vision for 2030: In the next five years, we aim to build a state-of-the-art sustainable campus featuring mud houses, bamboo structures, and eco-friendly designs. This campus will not only teach sustainability but also live it.
- Student Opportunities: Once the campus is ready, the school will welcome students to experience and learn in a living model of sustainability. Until then, we focus on advancing research and planning for impactful initiatives.
- Collaboration: Conducting Independent research in collaboration with JDF Center for Climate Change & Environment Protection (CCCEP) to address critical environmental issues in the world.
Vision for the Future
A Detailed School Planning Report and a School Vision Documentary are currently under development and will be released soon. These will outline the path for building physical infrastructure and enhancing research programs by 2030.
