The Project Launched on July 27, 2023, the JDF Life Education Project aims to transform education by focusing on life-oriented learning that nurtures self-awareness, inner understanding, and a conflict-free way of living.
The project, initiated in collaboration with the Center for Life Education & Spirituality and The School of Inner Education (SIE), was inaugurated by our founder, Bikram Jha.
Why We Started This Project
The current education system prioritizes competition, rote memorization, and external achievements while neglecting the development of self-awareness and emotional intelligence. This has led to alarming societal issues, including:
- Rising Suicide Rates: Over 700,000 suicides globally each year, many driven by stress and lack of purpose.
- Increased Violence and Hatred: A lack of empathy and understanding has fueled conflict and divisions in society.
- Mental Health Crisis: Over 300 million people suffer from depression, with many students feeling unprepared for life’s challenges.
- Disconnected Youth: The younger generation is often consumed by ambition but lacks self-knowing and inner stability.
The JDF Life Education Project seeks to reverse these trends by introducing education that fosters self-knowing, love, compassion, and a way of living free from misery and conflict.
