JDF Green India Project
The JDF Green India Project is an initiative launched by Jeevan Darshan Foundation (JDF) in collaboration with the Center for Climate Change & Environment Protection (CCCEP) on the occasion of World Earth day 5th July 2024 .
The project aims to address the growing environmental crisis in India by focusing on sustainable practices and improving the health of our ecosystems.
Currently operational in Bihar, this long-term project is set to expand nationwide by 2026.
Our primary objective is to contribute to a greener, cleaner, and more sustainable India by taking collective action on issues such as deforestation, climate change, and environmental degradation.

Key Focus Areas of the JDF Green India Project
One of the central aspects of the JDF Green India Project is the Mega Tree Plantation Drive,
where we aim to plant millions of trees across various regions. Trees are essential for maintaining the balance of the ecosystem, improving air quality, and combating climate change. Our initiative encourages communities to participate in large-scale tree planting and help restore the green cover.
We are actively involved in reforestation (restoring forests that have been destroyed) and afforestation (creating new forests in areas that were once barren).
These efforts help enhance biodiversity, improve soil quality, and mitigate the harmful effects of global warming. Our goal is to rejuvenate India’s forests and provide a safe haven for wildlife.
The Green India Project advocates for environmental protection at local, regional, and national levels.
We work to raise awareness about environmental issues and encourage eco-friendly policies and practices in governments, industries, and individuals. This advocacy also includes campaigning for stricter regulations on pollution and sustainable resource usage.
To bring about a lasting change, we organize awareness sessions in schools, colleges, communities, and corporate spaces to educate people about the importance of environmental conservation.
